I was listening to Flow while organizing our photos, and I realized how some of the lyrics to this song suited the way our four characters were related.

Before the strange circumstances that brought them together, they had normal, slightly mundane lives in which they weren't truly satisfied. Ichigo's encounter with Rukia led him to gain shinigami powers which he could use to protect his family and everyone he cared for, the way he couldn't protect his mother at that time. During her life as a human, Rukia learned that there was more to excelling and doing her duties. There was the joy of juice boxes, being considered a friend and having someone to show her drawings to (and whose face she could draw on as well). Orihime had her spiritual power awakened shortly after the incident with her brother's soul, during which Ichigo and Rukia had saved them both. With them, she was no longer helpless. Kisuke... found people to do his bidding while he relaxes in the Urahara Shouten. The shop was no longer quiet and empty with Ichigo and his friends constantly barging in and seeking his help.
