Upon discovering Rukia's true identity, Orihime insisted that she write to her captain to tell him about how things are going with her life in the real world. "Communication is very important, Kuchiki-san! I'm sure he's worried about you!" She then arranged a little pictorial for all of them so that Rukia could send a photo to go with her letter for Captain Ukitake.

Ukitake-taichou,

I realize this is rather unconventional but Inoue Orihime insisted that I write to you. Things are going better than expected here. Shinigami representative Kurosaki Ichigo is performing his duties exceptionally well.

I'm learning a lot. I was introduced to new technologies, the most fascinating of which is something they call the "juice box". I know it's not in our tradition but perhaps we could adopt this concept. It seems very complicated but it's not something Mayuri-taichou won't be able to figure out. It'll save the 4th Squad the trouble of constantly deploying rehydration troops.

I suppose I should take this opportunity to warn you about a rather disturbing dream I had the other night that involved you and Hitsugaya-taichou. I don't usually believe in premonition, but the image was just so vivid that it was burned into my memory.

Enclosed in the envelope with this letter is my artistic rendition of what I saw in my dream.
