About a month ago, I posted on my Facebook page that I was open to doing some art requests because I felt the need to practice drawing things apart from my own ideas.

I was happy to take on the challenge of using an interesting animal like a silkworm (Bombyx mori) as the subject of a drawing, especially considering I hardly ever draw insects — and never before a silkworm. More importantly though, I was drawn to the earnest wish behind the request.

There is still a great deal I hope to improve, but this was definitely educational!

This is the first sketch that I've managed to polish up into something relatively presentable, however still pretty rough. So sorry! So many things have been piling up! But I'm still working on some others during my free time
