Sanosuke, formerly the fighter-for-hire Zanza, gives up mercenary work after his encounter with Kenshin made him realize how he was just fighting to calm his anger. He later becomes Kenshin's most trusted friend, and discovers a different kind of strength.

A little trivia about Sano: Sanosuke was one of the last major figures of the series to be created. Watsuki created him to be Kenshin's best friend, who is willing to punch him when he is sad to make him "wake up" from his sadness. (Haha, that sounds like how it is with me and Miguel. Excuse me while I go tend to my bruises.)

Oh wow. He makes an excellent Sano. The pose, the attitude, everything. It's what I love about you guys: cosplaying is never just about the costumes. It's about the entire character.
