Free! - Should I? by behindinfinity Free! - Should I? by behindinfinity
Part 1. To be continued.

series: Free! Episode 10 middle school version

:pointr: Haru and Rin outfit references

After watching Free! episode 10, ~hakuku and I were talking about how we own clothes that are very similar to what Haru and Rin were wearing on the flashback scene. What started out as a joke that we should try to look like 12 year-old kids turned into an actual shoot. Somehow we made it happen, even if we live in different continents

We're trying out an anime screencap treatment for this photo sequence. Although this exact scene wasn't in the episode, we felt like providing some establishing shots before getting into the actual reenactment. Please stay tuned for the rest!

Iwatobi Swim Club cosplay shoot outtakes! When my friends and I first heard of "that swimming anime" called Free!, this is pretty much what we expected:
Not that there's anything wrong with that hahah, but all we were expecting was to be able to laugh at how exploitable and full of fanservice this show could be because swimming would require everyone to be half-naked. Although it started out that way, the more episodes we watched, the more we realized...
We were wrong. So wrong.
What we got was a heartwarming coming-of-age story with endearing characters and interesting dynamics. It spoke of friendship and learning your self-worth and figuring out what drives you forward.
I'd write more about how I feel about it but it would take up too much time and space over here, so here are a couple of posts that have already done the job well:
1. A detailed literary analysis and trope driven deconstruction of H

I never even thought about how this kind of thing can be pulled off even if both people aren't together in the same location! That's actually, really really cool! To be able to cosplay with someone across the world!

Oh, I've cosplayed 12 yr old boys many a times... it feels a bit wrong now that I'm almost 26, but hey, yolo, right? X'D You both look adorable! Also, omg how'd you get that cat to make a cameo, it's perfect!!
