Hello.

It's a brand new year, and about time I made myself a new deviantID. A lot of you have come to know me because of the cosplay stuff, but that's not all I do.

I think the point of devIDs is to show a bit more about the artist behind their work. I chose three photos.

Included in the things I do as a freelance artist is — paint and illustrate. For my personal paintings, I really enjoy drawing organic (but not entirely realistic) forms. Apart from the artwork I create for myself and gallery shows, I do projects for publications, brands and private collections.

I always enjoy taking a moment to watch the sky, especially at daybreak and sundown. It's very calming and it makes me appreciate a lot about the world around me.

Lastly, a photo of me not in costume. I like wearing funny-colored contacts on some days. I'm horribly nearsighted and always need lenses to grant me the gift of sight, so I figured I might as well have fun with it. _{The red lenses I'm wearing here were from my friends at Alice and Rabbit's Shop.}

The phrase 'Lights You Make' is part of the lyrics from one of my favorite songs, "The Kids From Yesterday" by My Chemical Romance. Suffice it to say that if I had to compile songs that would make up the soundtrack of my life, this is one of the songs that absolutely has to be in there.

Throughout the time I've been here on dA, I've really valued a lot of my interactions with people here. I greatly appreciate all the support you guys give. This might seem kind of random but really, thank you all.

Somehow, this silly page has hit 9 million views!

Just to be absolutely clear, I do not think the views make me any better than anyone else. I mean, I'm sure some of those are from people who don't even like me. But I guess my point is that it's crazy to imagine that this page has been opened up that many times, and I can't help wondering where all these hits have come from. And I just feel so grateful that a select few people in those millions have come to be irreplaceable friends to me.

It's been a wild ride with all of you guys through all this time. To me this isn't just a page where I simply showcase
