Kenshin and Tomoe: With You

"In my dealings with people in the past, I didn't have a lot to smile about. After this time in the country with you, I think I'm beginning to understand the happiness that people live for."

Fifth part of our photo series for Kenshin and Tomoe. Finally seeing Kenshin smile and feel peaceful during their time in Otsu was such a poignant part of this arc, so we really wanted to do photos showing this change in him. We also hoped to show a glimpse at Tomoe's internal struggle behind her composed demeanor, after getting to know Kenshin past his role Hitokiri Battousai.
