I've been rewatching my Rurouni Kenshin DVDs and mannnnn, this series still gets to me after all these years. The Tsuiokuhen (Trust & Betrayal) OVA, particularly. _{It's a shame the Jinchuu arc didn't make it to the anime but ah, I digress.} And that Seisouhen OVA (Reflection)... IT NEVER HAPPENED! Watsuki-sensei didn't write it! It's not truuueeee! Not... true... [rocks self back and forth] Only... the manga... holds the real ending...

[coughs]

Since I'm an absolute geek who started out as a kid who had dreamt of becoming a swordsman, I cosplayed Kenshin once before. Rather badly, at that: [link] I give myself a grade of fail.

To atone for that mistake, I redid my cosplay, and here's a little preview of it. I finally managed to find a decent wig for which Kat ~moonlightflight and I teamed up to cut and style - it was a monster. I replaced my old kimono which was too heavy and a bit ill-fitting. My regular katana has been replaced by a proper sakabatou. I also learned to color my eyebrows, haha. Oh, and I found these light purple contacts that don't fade into my dark eyes. _{That's how they really look, that's not editing. I rather like the effect of the black ring around the colored part.} Whew. I think I better shut up now. If I keep talking, you guys are going to go TL;DR

For now, I only have a few full-body shots of this costume from Fanime Con 2008, and without the sword.
