For this shot, I was hoping to achieve a cinematic feel — like a still frame from a movie. There was this beautiful carriage that we just had to make use of. (Looks like something out a storybook, doesn't it?)

Judging by our poses, the scene could be interpreted as Ciel and Sebastian simply preparing to leave to accomplish the day's errands. An alternate scenario formed in my head, though:

Sebastian: I have lived for a very long time, but I had never before heard of a human beheading a horse by merely leading it out of the stable. Perhaps I am at fault for delegating this task to you, Finny. Bardroy, please give poor Binky's remains a proper burial. Maylene, make sure he does not try to cook them. Finny, you must make amends by pulling the carriage for Young Master. Come, we are already behind schedule.

Just another day in the Phantomhive household.
