Artist's Comments
I'm working on this series inspired by the gnome photos from Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain. I'm taking my beloved Domo-kun doll wherever I go and taking pictures of him, hopefully around the world.
Starting off this series is this shot of Domo-kun in the beverage cooler of a convenience store when we took a rest stop on a road trip. Many thanks to my friend China who took this picture for me because I couldn't kneel properly to get the right angle due to my injured knees. edit:  Who else owns a Domo-kun? My dream is for people around the world with Domo-kun dolls to contribute pictures like this. Then we'd have a giant collection of similar photos, and it'd look like snapshots of one single Domo-kun traveling around the world. As I've mentioned above, like the gnome photos from the film, Amélie. Please leave a comment if you'd like to contribute! |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Our objective is to recognise deviants who deserve more recognition and to feature deviations with less than 10 original comments. The 0-5 Comments Issues feature a deviant as well as 3 deviations with less than 5 original comments from a wide selection of art.
