A follow-up to Rokudaime. _{This shot's got a better view of the costume, and hair is back to the more natural blonde.}

Here's my own concept of Naruto's possible future outfit for when he becomes Hokage, or if he, Sasuke and Sakura beceome the next legendary Sannin. The idea was inspired by this illustration: [link]

As I've said before, even though he's grown out of just wanting everyone's attention and admiration, I think he would still wear something that'd make people turn their heads to look. He's a ninja whose usual clothes are orange, after all. And even Minato had that flashy white coat with red flames and the characters for "Yondaime Hokage" emblazoned down his back.

I chose red as the main color because apart from reflecting Naruto's passionate determination and volatile personality, it's reminiscent of the Kyuubi, which hopefully Naruto learns to fully control. The addition of red face markings is a tribute to Jiraiya. The gold accessories and details against the red are meant to give the impression of fire. (Though I don't think Naruto would wear these clothes on a regular basis, haha!) _{On a side note, the dragon and cloud patterns on the sleeves can allude to Kishimoto's admiration for Toriyama-sensei and DBZ. I really lucked out finding that fabric.}

I experimented with photo-manipulation for this one, largely influenced by ukiyo-e (Japanese woodblock prints) and scroll paintings.

EDIT: I conceptualized this around January 2008. That's WAYYY before Naruto's sage form turned up in the manga. But wow, I actually got the red robe and red eye makeup idea right, although Kishimoto executed the ideas a bit differently.
