Here is Luna Lovegood with her Spectrespecs, still on the lookout for Wrackspurts as she gets her photo taken. "A Wrackspurt — they're invisible, they float in through your ears and make your brain go fuzzy," she said. "I thought I felt one zooming around in here."

This is the third in our series of wizarding photos for our Harry Potter cosplay group. We took turns taking portraits on one seat in our common room — kind of like having our own Hogwarts school picture day! Erving, who was our Hagrid, was in charge of taking the photos, and I (dressed as Harry) was in charge of enchanting them with the practical magic of animation.

Kat ~moonlightflight feels she is a Ravenclaw at heart and wanted to cosplay Luna. She loves how Luna openly believes in all these magical creatures with all her heart, even if other people insist they aren't real. Kat made all of Luna's accessories — the butterbeer cork necklace, the beetle ring, the radish earrings, and the Spectrespecs.

Luna is an incredibly endearing character. She's one of those people you might not immediately think can be your friend, but turns out irreplaceable. A quality of hers that I admire is how kind and open she is to everyone, even toward people who ridicule her and hide her belongings.
