In times of social unrest and political conflict, there are still things that cannot be touched by the forces tearing the rest of the world apart.

Li calms Tianzi's troubled heart with a simple hand gesture he taught her six years ago - a symbol of his promise. He vowed to always protect her, and to one day help her leave the Forbidden City so they can see the rest of the world together.

Note:
The background is real. We made use of only natural lighting (dwindling sunlight in this case), and the blurring is from the camera lens, not editing. It took a while for me to get the right shot to match the image I had in my head for Li and Tianzi's signature pose. I'm very grateful Ysabel and Rick were so patient with me. Again, I was attempting a cinematic feel - like a still capture from a movie.

This is the last of this series for now. I submitted only three individual shots because I'm very critical about the photos that I take. I'm still on the road towards improvement.
