Better view of the costume: Legend of Konoha

I guess it's glaringly obvious that this isn't the Naruto we're used to seeing. This is my idea of how he might look if he, Sasuke and Sakura were to be the future Sannin. Inspired by this illustration: [link] I put some red makeup on as well, as a tribute to Jiraiya. And the pattern (took me forever to find that fabric) on my sleeves alludes to Kishimoto's admiration for Toriyama-sensei and DBZ.

Hair is less wild and random, facial expression less goofy - Minato's genes must be kicking in, haha.

And we all know Naruto is going to be Hokage someday. Even though he's grown out of just wanting everyone's attention and admiration, I think he would still wear something that'd make people turn their heads to look. He's a ninja who wears orange on a regular basis, after all. And even Minato had that flashy white coat with red flames and the characters for "Yondaime Hokage" emblazoned down his back.

As for the pose, well, even Naruto deserves to rest sometimes. Though, my female friends who had seen this photo before claim to have sensed something more than just relaxation. Uhh. That brings to mind a bit of trivia I learned one day: Naruto's birthday is nine months after Yondaime's. Happy birthday, Hokage-samaaaa~

EDIT: I conceptualized this around January 2008. That's WAYYY before Naruto's sage form turned up in the manga. But wow, I actually got the red robe and red eye makeup idea right, although Kishimoto executed it a bit differently.
