Artist's Comments

Kamiya Kaoru is the successor of the Kamiya Kasshin-ryu fighting style, based on her father's ideal of swordsmanship used not to kill, but to protect. She is later joined by Himura Kenshin - a wanderer who was formerly the legendary Manslayer, Hitokiri Battousai. Myoujin Yahiko, an orphan thief with samurai lineage who later becomes Kaoru's student after he is saved by her and Kenshin. Sagara Sanosuke gave up being the fighter-for-hire Zanza after fighting with Kenshin showed him the error of his ways.

The Kamiya Kasshin dojo has only a small number of residents, but no other school has a group quite as remarkable.


I'm so happy we were finally able to have a proper photoshoot for Rurouni Kenshin. This series has a special place in my heart, and just writing this is getting me a little choked up. I've always loved how the characters found meaning in their lives through each other, and that's also how it is with me and all my friends who were part of this project.

Rurouni Kenshin was and is my all time favorite series for the reason they ll found purpose and meaning in each other. I lvoe the cosplay work >< It captures their essence
