Description

The title explains enough, I reckon

Obviously it's inspired by this scene :pointr: [link]

:iconbehindinfinity: myself as Harry Potter
:iconmerkymerx: Miguel as Ron Weasley
:iconakagii2004: Arnel Serioso as Professor Severus Snape
Yes yes, we are all Asian. We don't believe in race hindering people from cosplaying whoever they want.

:camera: photography by Erving Go
:bulletblack: location is Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry Fernbrook Gardens

This was actually taken during an event we attended. A bunch of my friends and I dressed up as Harry Potter characters. When we got to the main event hall, we all gaped when we spotted someone cosplaying Professor Snape — and was very much in character the whole time. He was striding around with his robes flowing evilly with every step. We gathered and whispered amongst ourselves, "So... should we talk to him?" and joking, "He looks like he might hex us!" Eventually we mustered up the nerve to go introduce ourselves. He was actually very nice despite the way he'd scowl, and agreed to follow us to the room which we dubbed, The Very Common Common Room. I'll share the rest of our pictures bit by bit. :D

Some notes:
:bulletred: The most difficult part of my costume to come by was the glasses. I chanced upon mine at a vintage shop. They were pretty much perfect apart from the rims being silver. I painted them black with a matte finish to make them more accurate. :)

:bulletred: Another thing that we had some trouble with was the neckties. We hadn't gotten around to ordering the official Gryffindor ties so we had to come up with something until we got them. We couldn't find any ties from stores that were remotely similar, so I got us some plain maroon ties and used fabric glue to stick on thin ribbons to simulate the stripes.

:bulletred: We made our own wands with materials found at home. You may check out the tutorial of sorts that I had posted here if you like :pointr: [link]

For those who might be interested, I had also uploaded some miscellaneous silliness from our HP cosplay group on my Facebook page :pointr: [link]

My apologies for the lack of updates and replies! It's been a busy week!

This is officially the best thing I’ve ever seen.
