We had a cosplay photoshoot... ON AN ACTIVE VOLCANO. WE ARE LEGENDARY MORONS. Kamina would be proud. Our guides said it wasn't too dangerous during the time we went. Just smoking craters and boiling, bubbling mud. We didn't experience tremors or explosions. Whew. As difficult as it was getting up there (a road trip, a boat ride and a rather long hike) it was definitely worth it!  I'm really happy I actually got to take photos that day. I've been badly needing the practice. My friends' Gurren Lagann photoshoot was an excellent learning experience for me - El ~rosiael lent me her wide-angle lens, we were at breathtaking location, and I was shooting cosplay of a series I practically worship. It was also a bit of a physical challenge, because if I didn't watch where I was going, I could have fallen off a cliff, haha! I'll make a picture-filled journal entry about our GARventure soon!
