The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you finally made the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean more quality to the paintings, am i right?.
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

Evangelion Photoshoot Info

As I've mentioned in my past journal entries, El ~rosiael flew home from the UK and that always means lots of cosplay projects. It's been about a year since I was given the honor of being invited to one of their shoots (by Dianne ~DiAnkh), and I've always been thankful for that opportunity. I love the friends I've made in the Vongola Famiglia Omertà.

We've been quite productive the productive bunch since she came back about a month ago. Our first project for this year is a Neon Genesis Evangelion cosplay photoshoot. (No plugsuits yet, but perhaps you'll see them in the hopefully-not-so-distant future.)

That series is a classic, so truth be told, we were rather scared about attempting it. Especially El ~rosiael and Chi ~angstxiety who were to portray Asuka and Rei, respectively. They were so terrified that they weren't able to sleep on the night before the shoot. This is actually their first official cosplay (by that I mean they aren't crossplaying male characters, for once). I honestly can't see why they don't cosplay girls more often. But they're still in denial that they actually went and did that, so if you can, kindly avoid comments that are too harsh.

I must say, that was one of my favorite shoots. It was fun reminiscing about Eva with everyone. And it's been wonderful hearing from other Eva fans in our submissions!

I just visited the Youtube link again to watch the absolute glory that is "KATAYAMAGELION" and its been blocked by bandai. If we got enough people to write to bandai saying sommit along the lines of "a while ago my friend showed me [link] and it inspired me to watch the series pleas un block it" do you think they would?

The world is a darker place without that video.
