Upon loading the main page of
MangaBullet, I was pleasantly surprised to see a familiar sweet face.
As I read the article, I could not help grinning and laughing because of how Ysabel's sunny disposition and charming demeanor shone through the way she answered those questions. My heart soared with pride at how she addressed issues and expressed her opinions. When she talked about her mom, her friends, and the Tuxedo Team - about how we met and what we mean to her - I burst into tears.
Something we should all remember
Here is part of the interview that I feel everybody in the cosplay community really ought to read. At the tender age of 12, Ysabel seems to have a greater understanding of this hobby and a bigger heart than some people who are far older than she is.
Ysabel: Cosplay is for fun. It's a misunderstood hobby with a good and bad side. If everything is going good in your cosplay, keep it up just don’t lose your head in its fictional world. Keep priorities like family and school in order. If things aren’t great, do not be disheartened from doing what you love. As long as you are having fun, keep going!
It’s a different kind of happy-high when you are among fellow cosplayers but at the end of the day, it only matters if you enjoyed yourself or not. It’s not about popularity or pageviews, having fans or not, being better than others... no. It’s about expressing yourself through a character you love and sharing it with others.
Hopefully, you’ll make friendships that will last even when the costumes are faded, wigs worn out and cameras stop flashing.
We love you, Ysabel. And we are SO PROUD of you. I cannot say it enough. One of the things I am most thankful for is how That Big Guy Up There lit up the paths that allowed us all to meet.

I like cosplaying, even love it yet I lost the reason for it.
Sadly I am not able to do it as much any more yet I will think
of this young Miss when I do and her words, and just have fun
with it again, I miss having fun with my friends and forgetting
every thing else.
By the way, I love all your cosplay Ysabel, you alwasy pick just
the right person. And do it very well, keep learning sewing takes
a long time but I bet with how much drive you have you'll be great
